Classroom routines

P.E.

Year 4 have P.E. on a Wednesday afternoon and a Thursday morning. The children are required to come into school in their P.E. kits.

P.E. Kit: P.E. top, black/blue plain joggers or black shorts, trainers and school jumpers or cardigans.

HOMEWORK

The homework structure for the week will be put onto Seesaw every Monday. The children will be asked to do times tables and reading throughout the week. On a Friday, the children will receive a piece of homework to complete over the weekend and to hand in on a Monday morning.

As part of their homework, the children will receive, on a Friday, the spellings and times table focus to learn for that week. The children will have a spelling test and a times table test on the following Friday morning.

The spellings will also be put on 'Spelling Shed' which the children have a log in that they can access at home to practise.

READING

On a Monday morning, we will collect in reading journals to check that they have been signed, at least three times. This is a responsibility for the children to get them signed by a parent or guardian giving them some independence for their belongings. The children will be rewarded with a star for the amount of times they have read and had their diary signed over the week.
