What Our Parents Say

At St John's, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are at the heart of every child's success. We are proud of the positive relationships we build with our families and value the feedback we receive. Here is what some of our parents have to say about their experiences of being part of our school family.

Our son always struggled to settle at nursery, each morning was a battle when it came to dropping off. We were worried we would face the same with school, but since his first day at St John's, he runs in every morning and comes home so happy, full of stories each evening.

One reason we chose St John's was for the family feel we got instantly. The staff and children were so welcoming and really got to know our son, even from our first walk around. He already feels part of a family, with pupils, staff and parents from across the school greeting him by name each morning. Older pupils have played a huge role in supporting the younger pupils. We love hearing each night about how much fun he has had with his 'Twins' in Year 5.

The school has done a great job of phasing him, and us as first time school parents, into school life. We've enjoyed stay and plays, letters and post cards over summer and a warm welcome in September, focused on settling him into clear routines.

We couldn't be happier with our decision and neither could our son. We would definitely recommend St John's to other families.

As a parent of a child in Year 2, I can wholeheartedly say the love, care and support offered to the children at St John's is the reason we want our child to be a part of this special community. The staff have demonstrated numerous times how they go above and beyond for the betterment of the children in their care. For us, being part of a school who lives out their motto to 'Love one another' allows us to feel confident our child is being taught the values important to us as a family. With a solid foundation of safety and love, their academic success can flourish.

St John's is a wonderful school with a fantastic combination of faith, nurture, great teaching and positive relationships with children and families alike.

My son loves going to school every day and the dedicated teaching staff have instilled a love of learning in him.

I have always felt welcome and supported as a parent. The staff have gone above and beyond to offer help when it's been needed

Mrs Sayers and the whole staff are doing their absolute best for the children and I am so glad my son is part of St John's.

From the moment my children joined St John’s, we have felt welcomed, supported and part of a caring community. The staff are incredibly compassionate and consistently go above and beyond to support every child, making sure they feel valued, understood and encouraged. The school has created a safe and nurturing environment where my children have grown in confidence, developed their strengths and truly thrived, both academically and personally. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community, and I would wholeheartedly recommend St John’s to any parent looking for a school where their children will feel safe, supported and able to flourish
