For every comment or signature you make in their diary, to show you have read with your child.... your child earns a star! Read.... read.... read!!!!

 

Daily Reading Books

It is really important that your child is heard to read at home every day if possible.  During this time question your child about what they have read in order to develop their comprehension skills.  The children will quiz in school on their Accelerated Reader (A/R) library book. Some children will also bring home an additional phonics book.  This is to help your child in their particular stage of development and needs to be read alongside their library A/R book.  Please write a comment in your child's diary so that we can praise them in school for all their hard work.  

Homework will be set usually on a Friday. The children will then have until the following Friday to complete and return it to school. If your child has experienced difficulties with the homework, please feel free to jot a note on it or send me an email.
