RE

In RE we will reflecting on how we can prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We will also be reflecting on the birth of Jesus, Mary’s role in this and how Mary looks after us. After we will be discussing The Story of Christmas.

PSHE

In PSHE we will listen to short stories that tell us how God Loves Us. We will listen to the story 'Let the children come' and what this means. 

English

In English we will start by looking at stories with a repetitive pattern.  Using the story of Zog we will begin to learn about questions marks and begin to use them in our writing.

Will will also examine a range of non fiction books which will tie in with one of our other subjects. 

Finally our poem themes will be fire and seasons . We will be discussing our different experiences of fire such as fireworks, bonfires, campfires and the season of autumn and winter. 

Mathematics 

In Maths the children will be developing their place value knowledge within 20 as well as their addition and subtraction knowledge. We will also be focusing on 2D and 3D shapes.

Science

In Science we will be focusing on the four seasons. This topic builds on our 'plant' work, looking at how both plants and animals can be effected by the seasons. We will also look at differences between the day and night, alongside looking at the moon. 

History

In history we begin to explore our own history and that of our families history. We look at how we can find out about the past and how things have changed. 

ICT

In computing the children will be learning how to produce digital art. They will experiment by learning how to make shapes and select colour, and will compare digital art with painting. 

Music

In Music we will be listening and reviewing a song called . We will also be learning Nativity songs.

PE

In P.E we will begin to learn about dance, developing and following a sequence to a piece of music. We will also work on our catching and bouncing skills. 

DT

In Design Technology we will be looking at what it means to eat a rainbow and how to prepare a range of fruit and vegetables.
